Useful script for debugging performance issue on Internet Information Services (IIS).

We can retrieve which process id is associated with IIS application pool ..using this info with task manager, we can see which application pool is using or holding  the most resources  (CPU, memory, etc).

The simplest method is, open command prompt and execute the following:

c:\windows\system32\isspp.vbs

You may also use a longer version using csripts:

c:\windows\system32\cscript.exe c:\windows\system32\iisapp.vbs

You may also create a batch file, anyname.bat and include the following in the file:

c:\windows\system32\cscript.exe c:\windows\system32\iisapp.vbs
